The Vendée Globe is a single-handed non-stop around the world sailing race. The race happens every four years. Founded in 1989, the Vendée Globe has seen some of the greatest sailors in the world but less than 100 people have ever completed it.
The current record is: 74 days 3 hours 35 minutes and 46 seconds. This year the sailors are hoping to beat this.
