Team Malizia's skipper Boris Herrmann will be at the start line on 6 November 2022 with his newly built “Malizia – Seaexplorer”. Crossing the start line almost two years to the day after his Vendee Globe debut in 2020, Boris will be one step closer to the Vendee Globe 2024 qualification.

The 'Route Du Rhum Race - Destination Guadeloupe' is a transatlantic single-handed yacht race with a distance of 6560 kilometres and runs from Saint-Malo in the North of France to Pointe-à-Pitre in the French overseas territory of Guadeloupe. There will be a total of 138 professional sailors taking part as well as amateurs, competing over several classes – including IMOCA.
